Greetings everyone, we’re having cooler weather this weekend.

The Poor!

This past week I was picking up pizza for a Board meeting, and there was a woman in front of me picking up two large pizza’s. One was a vegetarian one and the other a meat lovers one. And she said the vegetarian one was for her husband and herself. The meat one was for her dog. And as I was driving to the meeting I thought, we sure live in a rich country. But I also thought even though I like dogs I would never spend $27:00 on a pizza for a dog. And that got me thinking about all the poor people in the world who have no food or water. And these verses came to my mind. 1John 3:17-18 (If a rich person sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against his brother, how can he claim that he loves God? My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.)

So I pray that we all would be generous to those in need, as our God provides. I pray that God will provide for all our needs this week. Sunday morning I am leading Bible Study and preaching at Wayside Gospel Chapel amen.
