*Note about perspective.

As we assembled these galleries, we discovered an interesting phenomenon regarding the year 1970. This is the year that Bev and I joined our lives together. We each left our respective father and mother and were joined to each other. (Genesis 2:24)

The impact on this historical account is that until then Bev’s artifacts are part of the materials that originated in the McPhee-Seafoot collections and Chris’s artifacts originated in the Butters-Boyle collections. In 1970 Bev & Chris began assembling their own collections. However, our parents’ collections still continued to grow — often with contributions from us. So from 1970 until our parents’ deaths, there is some duplication of the artifacts.

Or, to put this another way: the McPhee-Seafoot collection came from Lorna’s closet; the Butters-Boyle collection came from Lorraine’s closet; the Bev & Chris collection came from Bev’s closet.
