However, property values plummeted when the lake suddenly drained after a dam failed due to #GlobalWarming.
I should note that this incident occurred about ten thousand years ago when an ice dam on Hudson Bay broke and Lake Agassiz emptied very quickly. At that time Lake Agassiz was larger than any lake currently in existence. Larger than all of the Great Lakes combined. The volume of water is thought to have raised ocean levels as much as 2 meters.
This explains why we own a hay wagon rather than a pontoon boat! (more about that in a future episode).
