Greetings everyone, we have gotten a lot of rain this week. Praying for dry weather for our farmers.
Different ways of service
This past week I was talking with a friend about serving our Lord!
And it’s obvious that we have different ways of doing things.
So we went to google and looked up some scriptures about when people have differences of opinions. One says this.
Luke 9:49-50 (“Master “ said John “we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us.” “Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”)
The disciples had complained to the Lord Jesus that some other man who was not of their group was ministering in Jesus name. The disciples had forbidden him to continue, but Jesus rebuked them. We must be very careful about rejecting someone simply because they do not serve the Lord the same way we do. If we quietly go about the work the Lord has given us, we need not to be overly concerned how others serve him. I am so glad that my dear friend and I can continue to serve our lord even if we do it differently. And I pray who ever reads this will continue to serve our lord Christ Jesus even if you do it in different way then others. Praying that God will meet all our needs this week.
