January 7 with Ken Sundelin & Howard Jolly

“So what can we expect for this new year? What should we be praying for?“

Our Expectations

Greetings everyone, looks like winter is coming this week.

Our Expectations

I know I am as last year was a year of so much sorrow and grief, for many people I know as well as myself.

I call 2023 the funeral year, as so many loved ones were called home to eternity with Jesus!

So what can we expect for this new year? What should we be praying for? How will all that we pray for come about? As we start to go through the year we all will face many challenges and also receive many blessings. So as we pray and hope about all the things we think we need and what others need we have the assurance that there is one who will like last year meet all these needs and even our wants.

Ephesians 3:20-21(To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do much more then we can ever ask for, or even think of; to God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever Amen.)

Our expectations for the new year, I am sure many people are praying for a better year then last year.

So I encourage everyone to pray and trust that the lord Jesus Christ will provide for all our expectations, and that he will meet all our needs this week. Amen 🙏.

Verse for today:

“if anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
