Good morning everyone, we have had the cool, wet weather for a couple of days now. Praying for good harvest weather for all our farmers.
Truth versus Loopholes!
This past week I had lunch with four friends, and one man talked about how he struggles with the truth of God’s word. He was really looking for a loophole to justify a way to give in to the desires of the flesh. And mentioned that there are so many versions of the Bible, that he figured because the wording in some translations were a little bit different than another version that it is hard to know what’s really true. But one person said that the truth is revealed in God’s word to set us free from our desires to sin. John 8:31-32 (To the Jews who believed him, Jesus said. “If you hold to my teaching; you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”) And I added that when we are willing to surrender to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he the spirit will teach us what’s truth and how to live for our lord Christ Jesus.
John 14:26 (But the counsellor the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have said to you.)
So I pray that when we struggle with what’s truth versus our sinful desires, that the Holy Spirit will teach us truth. Praying that God will meet all our needs this week Amen
