“Because Christ lives, I live also.”
His Grace!
Good morning everyone, looks like we will have a nice day.
His Grace!
Recently I ran into a man who 10 years ago was a person completely controlled by addictions. At that time I encouraged him to go to Overcomers and get the help he needed, and he did. With the encouragement of others and myself he got sober and gave his life to Jesus Christ. And I had lost contact with him for a few years now, and when I met him just recently, he shared how he was still sober, going to church and was involved in his church, helping.
And he is married to a Christian woman, and that they had bought their own home. He also shared he had a good job as well as his wife. And he shared this verse with me. Romans 5:9 (Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved through him.) So we talked about this verse, coming to this conclusion: The saved person is in God’s safety zone, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. The one who takes his stand at the cross is saved forevermore. The cross, where Christ died in our place, is the only place to find forgiveness and have eternal life. Because Christ lives, I live also if I am in Him and He in me.
And we ended our conversation with this verse. Romans 6:6 (Our old man is crucified with him, that henceforth we should not serve sin.) I pray that we all will come to Jesus Christ and find forgiveness and new life. Praying that God will meet all our needs this week.
Amen ![]()
Verse for today:
“If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.”
