Good morning everyone, we are back warm, dry weather.

God’s Protection

Do you ever think about how many times God protects us from all harm? From the temptations of our enemy the evil devil. Or from real physical injury or even death.

This past Friday I went to Gunton, Manitoba to visit my sister and have lunch with her, we had a great lunch and visit. And as I was driving home on the highway going east I was coming to an intersection with the traffic going south having to come to a stop at the stop sign. And I seen a car coming and all of a sudden I somehow knew that person was going to go through the stop sign, so I jammed on my brakes and skidded to a tire screaming stop. And sure enough the person drove right through the stop sign and she went right by the front of my car only a couple of feet away. No contact was made and the only damage was that I was shaking like a leaf in a wind storm.

I pulled over to the side of the highway and thanked God for his protection. And this verse came to my mind. Isaiah 41:10 (Do not be afraid, I am with you! I am your God – let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.) And I am very grateful that God is our protection even when we are travelling, and not really aware of his presence. And I pray that God’s protection will be with us all, and that God will meet all our needs this week.
