NEW Column: Sunday Mornings with Ken Sundelin

“Wow it was depressing to listen to to their conversations”

Dread and Doom!

Good morning everyone, we have been having some cool weather, forecast is for showers today.

This past week I was having lunch in a restaurant, and there were a group of people sitting across from me having lunch as well. And I couldn’t help but hear their conversation. Wow it was depressing to listen to to their conversations. All they talked about was how bad our world was in and that how much worse it was going to get. They actually shared with each other how scared they were because of all the violence and the constant raising cost of living.

And I thought to myself, isn’t it encouraging to know that we can trust our lord Christ Jesus to take care of us.

Psalm 112:7-8 (He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes.) TLB.

I know that there are a lot of things happening in our world that’s not good, but I also know that God loves us and we can trust in him to protect and provide for us. I pray we all will be safe in the power of the lord Christ Jesus and that he will meet all our needs this week. Amen 🙏.
