Era 2, Year 2 — 1977

Today’s Feature: 1977

1977 was a great year.

I had a great job to which I commuted by Bus and Subway, 45 minutes each direction (really a short commute in Toronto terms.)

We knew that our assignment was temporary so we spent evenings and weekends seeing all that Toronto and the GTA have to offer. My typical Monday morning report to co-workers was “on Saturday we spent the day at the Zoo, then on Sunday we hiked the Bruce Trail and visited the Black Creek Pioneer Village …” Their consistent response to each destination was “oh yes, we want to go there some day, but we spend our weekends shopping and mowing.”

Two extraordinary highlights were our trip to Newfoundland in July and our relocation Train Trip back to Regina and November.

Wanderlust (1976 to 1984)

The Wanderlust Era saw us move across the country and back — twice! We adopted and surrendered a little girl. We added son number 3.
