Visiting Virtual Grandma

As the Covid-Lockdown drags on, the need for human interaction is becoming critical.

Video communication is coming of age, but it seems that the people who could benefit the most, are not able to participate. These are the people who lack confidence (or skill) with computers, our seniors, for instance.

One answer is to create your own, fully remote controlled, video computer system, involving your controller computer at home and setting up one computer for the person who is computer-shy at the other end. The cost is modest, and it is easy to set up. Use a refurbished laptop for the second computer and then use the free version of a remote software like AnyDesk or TeamViewer for both computers. See Video for demo.
