“Sin no more” is an instruction of Jesus Christ on two occasions in the book of John (5:14 and 8:11). On each occasion Jesus has intervened to perform a personal life changing miracle.
My own life has benefitted from life changing miracles by Jesus and I sense that I, too, am being gently instructed to “sin no more.” The reality, for those of us who believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, is that we will sin again, and Jesus knows this (Romans 3:23). The good news is that, through Grace, we are still accepted, even though the best we achieve is “embracing the inner urge to obey.”
