Bev’s Diary, May 30: Sunrise 3:37a; Sunset 12:01a @Fairbanks AK. The last mile of the Alaska Highway was at Delta Junction, M1422. On to Fairbanks — spent the afternoon on Discovery Riverboat Cruise and Supper at the Salmon Bake.

Bev’s Diary, May 31: Sunrise 3:34a; Sunset 12:01a @Fairbanks AK. Managed to get my load of laundry done. Then off to explore for the day. North Pole AK, lunch downtown, a visit to the Ice Museum, another quilt shop and salmon bake for supper. Tired tonight.

Bev’s Diary, June 1: Sunrise 4:00a; Sunset 11:36p @Denali Park AK. Fabulous day on the Alaska Railway — Four hours to Denali Park — four hour to explore (eat & drink) – four hours return. Saw rivers, canyon edges, Dall Sheep, and swans.

Daily service both ways, Anchorage to Fairbanks, including some private cars for cruise ship passengers …
We took the Southbound train to Denali where we relaxed until the Northbound train arrived for our return to Fairbanks ….

Bev’s Diary, June 2: Sunrise 3:19a; Sunset 11:33p @Chicken AK. Camped at West Fork National Forest Service Campground. So beautiful and quiet. Also stopped at the Calico Cow Quilt Shop in Delta Junction.
