When dramatic life changes take place, the camera, and therefore the photo record, tends to go onto the shelf. That was 1991 for us.
The company that I worked for went bankrupt. I went on U.I. for six weeks (the only time in our lives). Uncle Al proposed that we buy his company, Telstat Electronics, and move to Winnipeg. I left Calgary, alone, in January. I was in tears as I drove down 16th Ave heading East. I lived with Aunt Wilma and Uncle Al until April when we packed a U-Haul and drove east in two vehicles. Mike and James came with us. Craig had a job and a girlfriend in Calgary. It was late April and we had to delay when the road at Medicine Hat was closed by a blizzard. We arrived at our new rental house on Sorokin Street (below). We unloaded during a late April snowstorm.
