At this time, I was a project manager at SaskTel. When I was asked to give a speech on the Project Management topic at the local Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), I used the building of the CPR as an example of a successful project.
We visited a few days before the 100th Anniversary.

My work on the MARTENS project frequently took me, by plane, from Regina to Saskatoon.
The man-made canals on the near shore of Long Lake were the start of a new resort subdivision. We seriously considered buying lot.
